So today I finished the certification for another PADI Open Water Scuba Diver!! Congrats to Jonathan!! We did the class in 2 1/2 days and he was awesome. We saw a black tip reef shark on his second dive and about a dozen sting rays. Congrats again!
hey at least the water's not 37 degrees. hope all is well down there, and glad i finaly found you. stopped by the shop here in Plattsbugh and finaly got your blog site. just a reminder the diving is green and zebra muscle filled here.
fun is better than money, so have lots of fun.
take care leo lawrence. Leo@adirondackevergreenalpacas.com
p.s. signed up for Ironman lake placid for next year, Is your brother doing any tri's?
I think Leo is exactly right - fun is definitely better than money, so enjoy it while you can and are young!
I will respond to Leo here as well as via email - is IMLP your first Ironman? Have you done others? I assume you signed up the morning after? I am considering IM in Clearwater, FL next November as my first IM on the advice of the guy who came in 21st this year (as an age-grouper who is a med student!). I just completed my first real tri, a half-ironman length - http://www.vermontsun.com/halfvermontjourney/ pictures of me are at: http://www.new.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2259091&l=3c870&id=9405819 - I am just getting into it, I hadn't raced anything more than a 5k, 7 years ago, but this year have done my first half and full marathons, as well my first tri as the half ironman length, and I LOVE IT!
Any ways, Megs, make sure you have FUN! And good luck with the storms :)
